The District 23 committee is comprised of four officers, ten committee chairs and the GSR’s and alternate GSR’s of participating groups. Elections are held in December of even numbered years and are two year service commitments. District 23 holds its committee meeting on the 1st Thursday of every month.  D23 supports and participates in the service activities of Area 41 Nebraska, the West Central Region and Omaha Metro Intergroup.

Fostering Service and Fellowship

District 23 presents multiple fellowship events during the year. These events are the primary tool that District 23 uses to carry the message of AA and to promote service and fellowship amongst our members.

Our events include; the Spring Sponsorship and Service Fellowship that focuses on what we do to help those still suffering from the disease of alcoholism. In the summer, District 23 hosts a hospitality table at the Cornhusker Roundup, which allows us to participate with and stay connected to the greater fellowship in our community.  In the fall, we present the Feast, Fling and Fellowship. This brings us together to celebrate recovery, have fun and raise the funds necessary, so that we can provide all our other events at no cost. Our Mini-Workshops during the year offer a wide variety of topics on service, recovery tools and the experience, strength hope from the fellowship.

We take great pride in our events. Our events provide many opportunities for service not only for the newcomer, but also to anyone who would like to enrich and expand their recovery.
