The service structure is the framework in which our "General Services" are carried out. It is the structure that takes the place of government in A.A., ensuring that the full voice of A.A. will be heard.

A.A. General Service

As an introduction to the General Service Office (GSO), the A.A. Grapevine. and the General Service Structure, The GSO has provided the following informational video.

The A.A. Service Structure

With more than 118,000 groups located in over 180 countries, a broad range of services have developed to help support and guide alcoholics in recovery.

How A.A.s Work Together

“No society of men and women ever had a more urgent need for continuous effectiveness and permanent unity. We alcoholics see that we must work together and hang together, else most of us will finally die alone.”

A.A.’s Legacy of Service

Recovery, Unity, Service — these are the Three Legacies given to the whole membership of A.A. by its founders and their fellow oldtimers.

The Spiritual Foundation of Service

A pamphlet about the Concepts; it is NOT the Concepts themselves. They are found in the book The A.A. Service Manual/Twelve Concepts for World Service, and should be read by every “trusted servant.”
